BibleSteps Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 July 2026

BibleSteps ("the app") is made by 2April ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. In plain terms: the app needs no account, we collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising.

What we process

A device identifier

When you first open the app it generates a random identifier and stores it on your device (in the system keychain). We use it only to (1) apply the free daily prayer limit and (2) check whether you have an active Premium subscription. It is not linked to your name or Apple ID, and it is not used to track you across apps or websites.

Prayer topics you enter

When you generate a prayer, the topic or intention you type is sent to our server and to our AI provider (Google, via the Gemini API) to write the prayer, and may be cached briefly to improve speed. We do not attach your name to it. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information in a prayer topic — the app reminds you of this before you generate.

Subscription information

If you purchase Premium, the transaction is handled by Apple and by our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive whether your subscription is active — not your payment card or Apple Account details.

Content you save

Prayers you save and your favorites are stored on your device. They are not uploaded to us.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary with:

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, health data, or browsing history. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. There is no account to create.

Retention

Saved prayers stay on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Server-side caches of generated prayers are temporary and expire automatically. The device identifier remains until you delete the app.

Children

BibleSteps is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can remove all data the app stores locally by deleting the app. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your Apple Account settings.

International users

The app is available worldwide and your prayer topic may be processed on servers outside your country by the providers listed above.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date on this page.
